Life

Time slipped by,
slowly, quietly, treacherously, a silent, uncaring spectator stripping away vitality.
Life is sweet, and full of promise, a trap cunningly devised.

Once there had remained the illusion that I was living; I realised that I was unambiguously dying.
What had seemed like a path to a sort of success, eventually revealed itself to be merely a means of temporarily surviving.

This is life: a game like Nash's game theory.
A world of naive fools and shrewd liars.
Grow your claws;
Sink your jaws into flesh;
Be a carnivore.
Be ready for this battle royale : loudly declared a competition that is an undeclared barely silent war.
But I was late for the game, and it is late for catching up.

Don't be fooled by the term civilisation; the jungle is all that does exist and you are part of it.
